Brazosport Relay Triathlon

The Brazosport Relay Triathlon for 2008 will be held on Saturday September 6, 2008 at MacLean Park in Lake Jackson, Texas staring at 6:45am.   Information on the event is now available......  For electronic registration go to

Early registration closes on Saturday August 23, 2008.  You can still register on-line until 6:00PM Thursday September 4th.   After that time you can register at the Lake Jackson Recreation Center until 8:00pm Friday September 5th.  No race day registration.

The swimming leg will be seeded on Tuesday afternoon September 2nd for starting time and position in the pool.  Any entries after that time will be seeded in the later heats.  First heat starts at 6:45am Saturday September 6th.  2nd - 7:05am, 3rd - 7:30am, 4th - 8:00am, etc.

COURSE:  ~1K swim  –  two 5K runs –   15 mile cycle.
Swimmers start at Lake Jackson Recreation Center Pool. Twenty-four swimmers (three swimmers entering the pool at 10-second intervals in each of  8 lanes) will be assigned to each of the swim heats. As each swimmer finishes, he/she will tag the first of two runners who will each run one 5K, winding through MacLean Park. The second runner will pass a finish point and the staged cyclist will be released to ride the final leg consisting of a 15 mile course that loops throughout the Brazosport area and finishes at MacLean Park.
